Breaking down barriers, building rights. In Pietralata
Tomorrow, May 25, the meeting Breaking down barriers, building rights – The role of sport as an instrument of integration will take place. The meeting will address how <<where the institutions do not arrive, voluntary workers are able to act in a constructive way, using sport to create moments of aggregation and reciprocal exchange>>, as explained by Stories of Another Football, promoter of the initiative.
During the meeting the book “Calling myself Optì Pobà” will be presented. It tells the story of the birth of teams made up of asylum seekers, just like Liberi Nantes.
We too were invited to tell the story of our experience together with many other guests.
Along with our president, Alberto Urbinati, guests include:
- Luca Di Bartolomei
- Djiakiss – Player from Optì Pobà Potenza
- Paola Gallas – Journalist
- Francesco Giuzio – President of the Optì Pobà Association Potenza
- Riccardo Noury – Spokesman for Amnesty International Italy
- P. Aldo Skoda – Vice president Simi – Scalabrini International Migration Institute
- Giorgio Sena – Asinitas ONLUS Roma
The event takes place at 7pm at the Casa del Popolo – Circolo Arci Pietralata in via Silvano 15/a, a short distance from the Aprile 25th Stadium.
We look forward to seeing many of you there!
