Alberto Urbinati – President
Some say that even a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
My first step into the world of Liberi Nantes dates back to October 26, 2007, the day of the founding of the association.
I knew nothing about Refugees and Asylum Seekers, everything was new to me, but I had the chance to enter this world by the means of a football team: Liberi Nantes. Then came the mountain hikings, then the organizational roles and finally the election as President of the association.
From the day of foundation I think I have learned something, just a few things because the finish line is still a mirage down there.
I believe in the power of daily work, the silent one, that traces the path step by step; I believe in love that supports it and in the courage that innervates it.
A wealth of riches that I mostly collect from relationships with women and men who have crossed seas and deserts.
It ‘a dance made of dialogues that makes me constantly change perspective on things.
And it also helps me understand a little more about myself.

Daniela Conti – Vicepresident
I was born in a hot summer day in 1971. I study Sociology at the University and I wrote a degree thesis on tennis to merge 2 main passion: try to understand human being and follow sport. I don’t understand the world, in playing tennis I’m really bad… but finally working for the Italian Sport for All Association since 1996 I understand it is possible to combine social activities with sport through alive and concrete projects.
I saw the born of Liberi Nantes during the Mondiali Antirazzisti, I saw the progress of the association strating as volunteers and finally arriving at the Presidence!
My family was composed by Italian migrant that for 3 generations has looking for a place where to live and finally come back in Italy with a luggage of languages, flavours, cultures, different knowledge, and thanks to this I understand the meaning of the word richness. For this reason since the beginning for me migration is a right and it should be for everybody.
I love travelling, cooking (and eating!), reading, but moreover I love to talk with a cold beer in front of a football match… But I don’t tell you which team I support, I really respect a lot the founder member of Liberi Nantes. |

Antonio Marcello – Football Club Manager
I was born in Rome, and I’m 36 year. Computer programmer for living, I’ve got a passion for the social photography, in 2010 I arrive in the XXV Aprile for telling the story of Liberi Nantes, through my lens. In a so beautiful story is easy to enter, but so difficult to exit and so, step by step, day by day, I tried to be useful in a more continuative way.
I’ve got many passion, all but football, I was forced with physical and psychic blackmail to follow the Football team (I was in the toilet when the assembly voted my task). Since that day every weekend, together with the team and other friend of the association we face the outdoor, visiting the coloured football pitches of third category. We stored km and km, visited the most lonely village in Lazio, bringing back home some time a lost, some other a victory, but always a smile. And this is always a victory, the best one. |

Paolo Papi – Acountant Treasurer
In 2009 during a coffee break with Alberto, talking about nature and trekking we thought how beautiful could be offer migrants the opportunity to walk in the mountains we started with the first hike in Gran Sasso and then the “CamiNantes” never stop, and every day we walk on km of paths.
Since one year I’ve got the responsibility of taking care the accountability of the association. And in this budget I can find the same rarefied air and the big vacuum I love to find in the mountains. |

Toti (very rarely known as Salvatore Lisciandrello) – Football coach
From Palermo with communist affinity, I have always worked with kids and migrants, characteristics which makes me a penniless.
Nothing new, I’m the classic Southerner looking for fortune abroad and steal the job (with no retribution) here in Rome.
Since 2014 I’m the apprentice coach of Liberi Nantes Football Club. The work with the guys make me passionate and for gaining their best I bet on the clear communication. But I have to say I don’t succeed 100% |

Martina Volpe – Responsible for the Italian school
28 years old, born in Rome. I’m finishing my degree in Italian Studies, I learn Italian and my interest is in projecting and publishing. I try to put in the middle of my life the Italian culture and the learning, because I believe in the long life learning.
I’m crazy for pizza, potatoes, spinach and squids. I love travelling by train, I love the non places and moreover I like to take picture of them.

Mauro Scorsone – Legal office
I was born in Turin on 15 March 1978 and I’ve got a degree in Jurisprudence. In 2008 I began lawyer and now I work in the field of the alimentary right. Food law. Photography is my hobby and this passion drove me towards Liberi CamiNantes in 2012. Each hike was an excuse for taking picture and after sometime this become only an excuse for going out. So many face in the pics and so many stories listened, every time it was a new experience which enriched me so much. “The coincidence doesn’t exist” said the great teacher Oogway to Shifu in the move Kung Fu Panda, and maybe that first hike it wasn’t a coincidence.
