From May 26 to 28 Calcio Solidale is inFest!

The first National Festival of Calcio Solidale will take place at Cinecittà. Through positive models and examples of football as an instrument of social wellbeing and inclusiveness, Calcio Solidale promotes those values which have been lost in the circuit of “media football”.

Promoted by the non-profit organisation Fondazione Roma Solidale in collaboration with Roma Capitale and the Calcio Solidale Network, a rich programme will be spread across three days, with, as a fulcrum, the first edition of the FilmFestival. This will present short films and feature films selected in competition, with themes such as anti-sexism, interculturalism, anti-racism and homophobia, all approached through football as a symbol of cohesion.

Among the many guests there will be personalities from the worlds of sport and show business. We will be present for the duration of the festival with a stand for information. We will also be present at the 8v8 Intercultural Football Tournament on Thursday May 26 at 3pm in which a variety of teams from social football in Italy will play each other at the Bettini Stadium. Together with many others, we will also be guests at the meeting “The Other Football – Stories of dreams, life and toil” on Friday 27 at 6pm, conducted by La Repubblica’s Fabrizio Bocca in the Fellini Room.

Finally, on Saturday 28 in the same room at 10.30am some of the short films and feature films will be shown, including one in which we are featured.

A unique occasion, therefore, to learn about many other realities with us and to share the message that another kind of Football is possible. We hope to see many of you there!
