Liberi Nantes – Afro Napoli United: much more than a game of football

Rome and Naples are best friends!

This is the idea behind the friendly match that will take place this Sunday, April 24, at the historic April 25 Stadium: Liberi Nantes vs AFRO-NAPOLI UNITED, two teams without borders who, in the name of sport, have knocked down the walls and removed the barbed wire of prejudice and racism.

It will be a party, the derby of all the Souths of the earth, represented by footballers who take the field to say that Sport, the real and genuine version, unites and never divides.

Based on an idea by TV journalist Pierluigi Pardo and supported by Sisal Matchpoint and #RomaCares, the match will feature some former AS Roma stars who play for #RomaLegends, players who have already taken part in a memorable friendly with Liberi Nantes in October.

The day will be enriched by the possibility to see for the first time in Italy the drawings of Sheradzade Hassan (I am Sheradzade), the eight-year old Kurdish Syrian girl stuck with her family in the tented city of Idomeni on the Greece/Macedonia border, and whose incredible artistic talent describes the drama faced by refugees in masterpieces that take the breath away.

To begin the day, from 10am, two young teams from the Pietralata neighbourhood, Albarossa and Sporting Roma, will take each other on in an enjoyable friendly match, a further reason to get to the ground early to enjoy a full day of Sport and friendship.
