[:it]On 6 June we’ve been in Brussels at the European Committee of the Regions to participate to the conference upon the invitation of REVES aisbl – European Network of Cities & Regions for the Social Economy.
The conference topic was “Milestones towards the future: pathbreaking examples of cooperation, mutualisation and solidarity in urban and rural areas, promoted jointly by cities/regions and the social economy”, organized in the framework of the REVES Excellence Award 2019.
We presented the work we’re carrying on at the Campo Sportivo XXV Aprile – Pietralata, a formerly abandoned public space that is coming back to new life thanks to the volunteer engagement of a multicultural community made up of local and migrants people. This work is the result of the cooperation between LiberiNantes and other subjects involved like ATER, Regione Lazio and private donors. All together we’re giving a meaningful contribution to the social life of the Pietralata neighbourhood in Rome and that’s the reason why the jury of the REVES Award decided to give us this important recognition. We also received a number of enthusiastic comments from several representatives of European institutions that attended the conference.
Thanks a lot to the jury, for us this is a further important step toward the future!
